How can it be put into words? My vocabulary is not enough to describe what I have seen in the last few weeks. Just today, there was a man walking down the street so angry he was throwing blocks into the street. My heart went out to him. What was going through his mind? His life was so hard to begin with. Now, maybe he has lost his family, his home, and his hope for help. So many in need, so many hungry, so many hopeless, unless we can reach them. The Red Cross is helping 10’s of thousands as is World Vision and many other large agencies, but what about the family down the street from us, up the street from us, and accross the street? How can we help them? We must give them hope, and now, hope comes in the form of food, shelter, water and the GOSPEL OF HOPE. If I could not see this tragedy through the eye’s of Jesus, I would leave now. But in Jesus, there is always hope: hope for a new beginning and future. I have witnessed many coming to Jesus, thanking Him for sparing their lives and revealing they have a purpose in the Lord.

There is a man named Roland who lived just down the street from us. He is a nice man, but he really just tolerated the orphanage being on his street. He was religious but did not know Jesus as Savior. Since the quake, this man and his large family of more than 10 people have all come to have their sins forgiven through Christ. Now, when I see him, he is filled with joy and gives hugs. He has not missed a service since his conversion to Jesus. His heart is soft now. What is amazing is that before, he lived in a big house with things that most Haitians have never had, but he was very unhappy. Now, he lives in a makeshift tent in a field with his family but is filled and overflowing with the love of Christ.

I am asking you to help us help the Haitians. Donate now so we can help those who can’t make it to the Red Cross or World Vision. The people on our street need help, and we are their voice to you. Visit us at www.reachhaiti.com and donate now. May the Lord Bless you and Keep you.

Pray for us to be strengthened with the Holy Spirit to reach out and show His love more than ever.
