Wow! God did so many amazing things in the last week through our team from RIO Church! In just a week, the team went into 5 prisons, distributed and traded Bibles for knives, revival services, worked on the first children’s home, and also made over 250 Christmas ornaments! They worked so hard and the Lord brought forth a GREAT harvest through them!

| For four days, the team left our early to go preach in the prisons and distribute Bibles to the prisoners. We went to five prisons all across Haiti! They preached to prisoners and saw over 625 people receive salvation through Jesus Christ! The prisoners were in block cells measuring no more than 20 feet by 15 feet and would contain anywhere from 30-80 prisoners in each cell. They were only let out once a week for an hour and were stuck in that cell every other day to eat, sleep, use the bathroom, bathe, ect. The stench was hardly bearable in some places. However, God was there! The team distributed 829 Bibles and in one prison, they traded the Bibles for knives. Many of the prisoners had made knives or shanks out of everything from toothbrushes, wood, and razors blades. A special thanks to the American Bible Society for donating 600 Bibles to give away in the prisons! The prisoners were hungry to hear the Word of God! Another thanks to Pastor Ronnie Hepperly for his vision to preach the Gospel in the prisons around the world! |
| Beginning July 25th, Mike preached every night at ReachHaiti’s Church on Santo 19 with Pastor Hubert. The revival continued when the team arrived and ended on Sunday night, August 1! During the week, we saw 24 people receive salvation and many received healing and deliverance! We laid hands on and prayed over many others who had special needs! This was our first revival held in the new church that was built back in March by RIO Central Church. We are excited about what God is doing through this church and the fruit that has been coming forth!

| While the men were ministering in the prisons, the ladies stayed home to make crafts and Christmas ornaments with the kids. We made over 250 Christmas ornaments in just 3 days! The kids had a blast making them too! We also made bookmarks, picture frames, and other crafts which the kids really enjoyed too. Thanks to Debbie Puckett at Maryville Fastener for donating the crafts for the kids this week! |
Another thanks to the RIO team who sacrificed their week to come and serve the Haitians and preach the Gospel: Josh Broyles, Charlie Herrell, Emma Herrell, Eddie Tucker, and Pastor Ronnie Hepperly! Over 1,700 people heard the Gospel this week in the prisons and through revival! We appreciate each of you and your hard work!
